Channel 1 Releasing, Corbin Fisher and Titan Media have joined forces and will sue four illegal gay tubes. All three of the producers have been succesful in court in the past. Titan Media sued GayForit before and decided to accept a settlement. Recently, it was Corbin Fisher who brought DudeVu to their knees.

Last Friday March 26, lawyer Gill Sperlein filed a lawsuit against GLBT, Ltd., Mash & New Limited, Port 80, Ltd., and their share-holders Steven John Compton and David Graham Compton, owners of GayForit, JerkYourTube and ItsAllGay. They are being sued for a total of 8 complaints, being:

  • Copyright Infringement
  • Contributory Copyright Infringement
  • Vicarious Copyright Infringement
  • Trademark Infringment
  • Misappropriation of Rights of Publicity
  • Unfair Business Practices
  • Alter Ego
  • A full accounting

The cooperating studios are seeking damages of at least $29.1 million for copyright infringment, plus additional damages to be determined at trial, and all attorney and legal fees.

It was only recently that GLBT, Ltd. introduced their COP-CMS system with which they wanted the industry to believe they have made efforts to fight piracy. Blake Mason and Falcon Studios among others agreed to use the COP-CMS and give it a try. The launch of the COP-CMS system was announced just after the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) had introduced a very similar system.
